Ms. Juris’s 40-year career-span focuses on the healthcare industry.
Evenly split between the greater Philadelphia and Cleveland areas, Ms. Juris held senior-level positions in both the for-profit (including publically traded companies) and non-profit sectors.
Born in northeastern Pennsylvania, Ms. Juris earned a B.A. in psychology and an MBA from the Pennsylvania State University. Following her desire to help others achieve their full potential she began her career as a counselor and a consultation and education specialist in the county mental health system in Pennsylvania.
Over the next 15 years, Ms. Juris mastered the service management model while serving as marketing director for a sector of ARAMARK and held officer-level positions at Foster Medical Corporation, Staff Builders, Home Health Corporation of America, and SNI Home Care. She also founded AlternaCare, Inc. a healthcare consulting and services organization. She focused on the post-acute health care market and forged successful joint ventures and partnerships with area hospitals; contracted with national managed care organizations, and developed pioneering disease management models for chronic illness including telehealth applications.
In 1999, Ms. Juris was recruited to University Hospitals to develop and grow their home care corporation. This opportunity allowed her to merge her business acumen with the UH mission. Ultimately, her career at University Hospitals spanned 20 years where she was promoted into increasingly complex leadership roles.
Over six years as President of UH Home Care Services, Inc. she grew the organization to the second-largest home care provider in the state of Ohio, serving over 1800 patients in northeastern Ohio each day. Ms. Juris restructured operations, generated unprecedented levels of profitability, diversified the services offered to meet the needs of specific patient populations and created a patient-centered, results-oriented culture.
She was promoted to President and CEO of Heather Hill; later renamed UH Extended Care Campus. The capstone of Ms. Juris’s career at University Hospitals was her promotion in 2012 to President of the Ahuja Medical Center; Cuyahoga County’s first greenfield hospital in 30 years.
Recently retired, Ms. Juris works with organizations with shared beliefs and values to continue to impact communities in northeastern Ohio. She pursues her personal passion for travel, golf, SCUBA diving and photography. She is a past recipient of the Crain’s Women of Note award in 2013 and the YWCA Women of Professional Excellence Award.
